Opta Forum 2026: The Agenda
Speakers from across broadcast, digital, brands, leagues, federations and sports tech will be sharing their insights on stage at the British Museum later this month.
With Opta Forum now fast approaching, we are delighted to announce the full stage programme across both days.
In the year Opta celebrates 30 years of data collection and innovation, the 2026 Forum will be exploring how sports data and AI are reshaping how engaging stories are sourced and shared, changing audience behaviours and expectations, helping content creators and rights holders add value to key assets and enable professional analysts to better quantify in-game decision making of players.
Day One
The opening day of Opta Forum will be focusing on novel strategies around strengthening fan engagement through data, video and sports content.
As well as talks around content strategies for this summer's men's football World Cup, we will also be reflecting on the success of data-powered campaigns which captured the imagination of fans at last year's Women's Rugby World Cup, with one of England's victorious Red Roses, Abbie Ward, joining a panel to reflect on its impact.
Other sessions will drill deep into the fast-evolving digital landscape and changing fan behaviours, in addition to highlighting examples of how agencies have used data to help deliver authentic fan experiences for their brands.
Day two
Day two of Opta Forum will focusing on the latest innovations around on-field team performance.
As has been the case at previous editions, a new generation of practitioners will be taking centre stage with the winners of our annual data analytics competition showcasing novel applications of Opta Vision data with the aim of supporting existing analysis and recruitment profiling processes.
Other talks will feature insights from performance leaders and data practitioners responsible for implementing the wider data strategy within their respective performance operations.
As well as the packed stage programme, we will also be hosting a range of breakout sessions allowing delegates the opportunity to learn more about our Opta Vision data and its integrations into Stats Perform's various software platforms.
